On May 10, 2017 a creative evening will be held at Concert Hall «Verkhni Gorod» to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Belarusian Music Professionals Union and 20th anniversary of the International Public Association Saints Methodius and Cyrill Christian Educational Centre. The audience will enjoy musical works by Antonio Vivaldi (The Four Seasons) and Giovanni Pergolesi (Stabat Mater) performed by the laureate of international contests, student choir of the Belarusian State Academy of Music under the supervision of Inessa Bodyako, string ensemble of the Belarusian Music Professionals Union. Natalya Akinina and Tatyana Gavrilova, soloists of the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theatre of the Republic of Belarus will also take part in the concert. A violin solo will be performed by Yekaterina Mishchanchuk and Oleg Podov.
Antonio Vivaldi, a great Italian violinist and composer, was born in 1678. Most of his life he lived in Venice. The cycle «The Four Seasons» comprises 4 concerts for the string orchestra, violin solo and clavecin entitled «Spring», «Summer», «Autumn», «Winter». It is rightfully considered as one of the unique samples of the great epoch in the history of music. A prominent Italian composer Giovanni Pergolesi was born more than three hundred years ago. Stabat Mater by Pergolesi is ranked among the most illustrious classical examples of Italian music. In terms of generalization and emotional depth — this music is a harbinger of Requiem by Mozart.
